This painting is from a trip I took up to Stewart, British Columbia and Hyder, Alaska. It is a beautiful place where you can get right up to the edge of glaciers, this one being Salmon Glacier, where the ice is thick, chunky, and full of color. Here are a few pictures of the glacier from this vantage point and a couple other photos from the trip.
